When her husband passed away, the grieving widow learned that he had left her $30,000 to arrange the most lavish funeral imaginable.
After the final hymn played, the last flower was laid, and the guests had gone home, her best friend pulled her aside and asked, “So… how much of the $30,000 is left?”
The widow sighed and said, “Absolutely nothing.”
“Nothing? How could that be?”
“Well,” she explained, “the funeral service was $6,500, I donated $500 to the church, and another $500 went to the wake and the rest went toward the memorial stone.””
