An elderly couple walked into McDonald’s and quietly took a seat beside a group of lively young diners.
The old man slowly made his way to the counter, ordered a single meal, and returned to the table.
With delicate precision, he unwrapped the burger, sliced it in half, and placed one half lovingly in front of his wife. He then carefully counted the fries—one by one—dividing them equally. Even the soda got two straws, placed perfectly between them.
As his wife began to nibble on her share, the man simply sat and smiled, watching her.
Nearby diners noticed and murmured in sympathy, touched by the couple’s modesty and love. One young man, moved by the scene, approached the table.
“Please,” he said kindly, “let me buy you another meal.”
The old woman smiled, “Thank you, dear, but it’s alright. We share everything.”
Still, the old man hadn’t taken a single bite. Concerned, the young man offered again.
This time, the old man replied gently, “We appreciate it, son. But we’re used to sharing everything.”
Confused, the young man asked,
“Then what are you waiting for?”
The old man leaned in and said with a grin,
“The teeth.” 😄🍟🦷
